Nothing worse than going to the pantry when you need some flour or corn starch only to find it is full of flour moths and ruined!
Pantry Moths won’t hurt you, but they will try to eat everything they wander across. We’ve battled pet food moths trying to destroy dog and cat food, and cursed bird seed moths who spin their webbing and leave moth larvae in black oil sunflower seeds. In every case its the same moth, a pantry moth that arrives many times already in a bag of seed.
Pesticides or Natural Pheromone Moth Control?
The gut reaction is to call a pest control company and spray poisons to kill these slow flying pantry pests, but after a couple minutes I realize that soaking my pantry with poison is not such a great idea; not to mention that poisoning dog food or bird seed also is far too dangerous.
The better strategy is to let the moth’s own nature trap them. So I turn to pheromone lures in a basic glue board. Collectively called “pantry pest traps” these ingenious traps having been controlling moth infestations successfully for years.

The challenge is finding a brand of moth trap that works well: Effective moth pheromones that last, and a glue surface that is large and sticky, with discrete colors so I don’t advertise my moth problem,
